Behind the scenes, our experienced catering team takes care of everything — from kitchen preparation and dietary requirements through to service, timing and clearing. We work closely with other vendors to ensure the food service flows seamlessly alongside the rest of your day.

Your wedding day should be about enjoying every moment — not checking timelines, directing vendors or wondering whether everything is where it needs to be.
Our On the Day Coordination service takes care of the behind-the-scenes details, ensuring your carefully planned day runs smoothly from setup through to pack down. We step in to bring your plans to life, coordinate your vendors, manage the timeline and handle any unexpected changes along the way, so you and your family can relax and enjoy the celebration.
From the initial site planning visit and ceremony rehearsal through to the final venue pack down, we are your dedicated point of contact throughout the day. We coordinate vendor access, arrivals, setup and pack out; oversee styling, florals, furniture, tableware, signage and personal items; and ensure every detail is placed according to your agreed plan.
On the day, we coordinate the bridal party and family, liaise with your celebrant, photographer, musicians and DJ, keep the MC informed and help the entire day stay on schedule. Should plans need to change — whether due to weather, timing or something unexpected — we’re there to troubleshoot and make it happen seamlessly.
We also take care of ceremony setup and pack down, including repurposing florals and styling throughout the reception, before overseeing the full venue pack down at the end of the night.

Terrace is a hidden venue with a strong sense of arrival. It offers privacy and atmosphere without isolation, sitting moments from central accommodation and the Lakefront, making it effortless for guests to gather, linger and stay close.
Terrace is a hidden venue with a strong sense of arrival. It offers privacy and atmosphere without isolation, sitting moments from central accommodation and the Lakefront, making it effortless for guests to gather, linger and stay close.
At the centre of the venue sits the glass pavilion, a light-filled space that acts as a calm, architectural canvas for your event. Step outside and the landscaping takes over. A sweeping corten planter filled with lavender, rosemary and thyme softens the air and sets the tone. The courtyard is divided by native Titoki trees into two intimate zones, one anchored by circular flagstone paving for ceremonies or live music, the other flowing easily from the glasshouse for cocktails beneath a mature olive tree that has stood for more than three decades.
Inside, floor-to-ceiling glass and opening skylights create a true alfresco feel, allowing celebrations to unfold with natural light and a seamless connection to the sheltered gravel courtyard beyond. The dining room extends naturally from the pavilion and porch, offering a warm, light-filled space with natural timbers, leafy greens and a restrained monochrome palette lifted with subtle pink tones. It works beautifully as a cocktail space or as an extension of the glasshouse for larger gatherings.

It's taken us a while to recover but just wanted to say a massive thanks to you and the Terrace team for helping us put together a wonderful day. Feedback from guests was awesome and many mentioned to us how great the food was so thank you for doing your bit to make it such a special day. We also had an amazing time, and hope you enjoyed working with us!

1 month ago, we celebrated our best day yet and it would’ve have been what it was without the hard work and dedication from the Terrace staff. Thank you to all that was involved in our big day - starting with Amy’s Hen’s. Jack and Courtney the cocktails were incredible, thank you so much for all your help dodging the rain.
We asked for a lot and you guys delivered and exceeding all our expectations (trust me there was a lot - being two creatives planning a wedding) From the set up to the recovery brunch in the pouring rain the next day, thank you all so much for making our day what it was!
Big thanks to Jules, Wiki, Bryan, Sara and Rawiri for all your heavy lifting and being so accommodating. Rawiri for knowing Amy needed the 10ml alcohol limit towards the end of the night. Wiki for being amazing with the young babies at the lunch so the mums could enjoy their meals.
Special shout out to the chefs for all the effort that went into the food it was incredible and we have received so much positive feedback.

Terrace was everything we hoped for and more. It was the perfect space for our wedding and the food is still being talked about today!
I loved the indoor outdoor flow especially on a hot day.
One of the most talked about moments and a favourite of mine was having the frozen margaritas. Absolutely perfect with delicious flavours. Such a great addition to our day.
We loved the venue so much we are even considering booking the space out for our 30's next year!
We absolutely recommend Terrace for catering and venue hire. We really wanted a space and catering all in one package and are beyond thrilled with the level of detail and care put into both.

A quick note from us to say a big thank you to you and the Terrace team for bringing together our day over the weekend. We had the most wonderful day and are so grateful to have been so well looked after throughout.
From our first meeting earlier in the year, I felt confident we were in safe hands. You were calm, organised and responsive to any questions we had. I never for a moment felt I needed to worry about anything - which Brooke would tell you is a rare occurrence.
We have already heard so much positive feedback from our guests about the food (and the cocktails). Even our pickiest dietary requirement friends were stoked with how well they were looked after and how good their food was. It was really important to us that our guests were well fed and taken care of, so we are so pleased with what the team delivered for us.
Terrace made the whole process from start to finish so easy, and we couldn’t be happier with how things turned out. Thank you again for all your hard work, we had the best day.
