Terrace is a hidden venue with a strong sense of arrival. It offers privacy and atmosphere without isolation, sitting moments from central accommodation and the Lakefront, making it effortless for guests to gather, linger and stay close.
At the centre of the venue sits the glass pavilion, a light-filled space that acts as a calm, architectural canvas for your event. Step outside and the landscaping takes over. A sweeping corten planter filled with lavender, rosemary and thyme softens the air and sets the tone. The courtyard is divided by native Titoki trees into two intimate zones, one anchored by circular flagstone paving for ceremonies or live music, the other flowing easily from the glasshouse for cocktails beneath a mature olive tree that has stood for more than three decades.
Inside, floor-to-ceiling glass and opening skylights create a true alfresco feel, allowing celebrations to unfold with natural light and a seamless connection to the sheltered gravel courtyard beyond. The dining room extends naturally from the pavilion and porch, offering a warm, light-filled space with natural timbers, leafy greens and a restrained monochrome palette lifted with subtle pink tones. It works beautifully as a cocktail space or as an extension of the glasshouse for larger gatherings.
Terrace Catering is the exclusive caterer, meaning the food is designed for the venue, not adapted to it. Menus are built around the space, the flow of the day and the experience you want to create, delivering a level of quality and consistency that feels effortless.

1 month ago, we celebrated our best day yet and it would’ve have been what it was without the hard work and dedication from the Terrace staff. Thank you to all that was involved in our big day - starting with Amy’s Hen’s. Jack and Courtney the cocktails were incredible, thank you so much for all your help dodging the rain.
We asked for a lot and you guys delivered and exceeding all our expectations (trust me there was a lot - being two creatives planning a wedding) From the set up to the recovery brunch in the pouring rain the next day, thank you all so much for making our day what it was!
Big thanks to Jules, Wiki, Bryan, Sara and Rawiri for all your heavy lifting and being so accommodating. Rawiri for knowing Amy needed the 10ml alcohol limit towards the end of the night. Wiki for being amazing with the young babies at the lunch so the mums could enjoy their meals.
Special shout out to the chefs for all the effort that went into the food it was incredible and we have received so much positive feedback.

Terrace Catering are the BEST in the biz, seriously. They catered our 120px wedding The Black Barn, as well as running the bar & coordinating the day for us. From start to finish, every interaction with Terrace was faultless. They are utter pros, running a seriously slick operation!
We received SO many compliments from our guests on their catering - from the beautiful canapés, to the bridal party picnic, to the pina coladas & espresso martini’s, and of course the main course. Claudia in particular was a god send coordinating our day - she was so meticulous but also super relaxed which we found very comforting.
